The Sleep Inn Macon I-75 receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location, value, and friendly staff. However, recurring concerns regarding cleanliness, pest issues (cockroaches), and noise levels significantly impact the guest experience. Recent reviews highlight severe cleanliness problems, including mold and insect infestations, alongside louder-than-expected noise from other guests and hallway activity.
Room was clean and quiet. Smell of marijuana from other people in the hotel. Not a fan. Breakfast was comprehensive and tasty and also well maintained by the desk person.
I stayed at Sleep Inn Macon I-75 from February 6–8, and the conditions were unacceptable and unsanitary. There was visible mold on the lampshade near the bed, to the point that I had to remove it just to feel safe enough to sleep. There was also mold throughout the shower, indicating poor cleaning and maintenance. To make matters worse, when I went to get ice, there appeared to be black debris or what looked like an insect in the ice, which is a serious health concern. I reported these issues to the front desk during my stay and was told that any refund or resolution had to be handled through Booking.com, even though the problems were health and safety related. I have photos documenting everything. This experience was completely inappropriate for any hotel, branded or otherwise. I am requesting a partial refund due to the unsanitary conditions.
Traveling to Florida with our ESA dog. Had a positive experience room clean, great shower, decent breakfast. Staff friendly and good value!
The very first time I entered this hotel, I felt right at home. I love the comfort of the beds, rooms are spacious and very clean always!!! My favorite thing is the shower, I can't get enough of it. I would most definitely Recommend Sleep inn. To anyone I promise you want be disappointed. Even when you come through those doors the Ladies and Gentlemen always greet you with a smile ? I Love it!!!
Let me start by saying this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. It gets 1 star since I can't give it zero. I booked this hotel because of the good ratings on priceline. I will not stay at a hotel that is less than 8/10 or 4/5. The good: The evening front desk girl was polite. The end. The bad: I walked into my room to find a cockroach climbing on the wall. I immediately went to the front desk to request a new room. The lady said the hotel was booked full amd there were no options to move. I ended up going back into the room(with the hotels can of bug killer) to take a second look. When I moved the refrigerator, no less than a dozen more cockroaches scattered across the floor. I sprayed everything i saw and went back to get the lady to show her. She came into the room and couldn't believe what she observed. I was not able to change rooms. Since I booked through a 3rd party(Priceline.com), they would not issue a refund. They did not offer to provide me a room at a different property. I kept the spray in the room, thankfully, because one even made it into the shower area. I also found dead ones behind the bed, that had not been cleaned. To make matters worse, I am allergic to cockroaches and had an extremely itchy and now painful outbreak.
Worst matress Ever. Springs go all the way to the bottom. AVOID unless youre just knockin boots. If you need to actually rest, seek better. Bed So bad I changed rooms at 3 am. Different bed was only marginally better. Never again!!
This was a quick stop to get a little shut eye and shower. I was very happy that the room was clean, the reception clerks (both checking in and checking out) were super nice and the bed was as comfortable as it could be not being our own bed at home and the price was great. When making this trip again we will definitely keep this hotel as our go to stop. I can't speak about the breakfast as we were up and out the door in the morning.
The location right off the interstate is convenient and within walking distance to different eating places. However, our experience was not good as there were children playing in the hall well after 11:00 pm, people in the lobby area talking loudly past midnight. We ended up leaving the facility at 3:30 am as we were unable to sleep due to the noise. After a 20+ day road trip staying in Choice Hotel properties the whole way, this was one of the worse experiences we encountered.
The staff here definitely get all the gold stars for this hotel! I did not encounter one unfriendly/unhelpful staff member. The price was right. The room was clean. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, apples, bananas, yogurt, cereal. My kids enjoyed the pool. My only complaints are that the shower door doesn’t have a proper seal, so the floor gets very wet & slippery. Also I was awoken a couple times between 12am & 2am to slamming doors & loud kids. Not the hotels fault, just wish the walls were more soundproof. Would stay here passing through again!
Great location. Clean comfortable room and wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows. Best we’ve had on our trip so far. Very friendly staff. The front desk young man gave us an excellent recommendation for a pizza place nearby that turned out great. Excellent breakfast. Always a great experience at Sleep Inn.
