La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Macon consistently receives positive reviews, particularly highlighting its affordability, pet-friendliness, and cleanliness. However, recent feedback indicates recurring issues with breakfast quality, potential safety concerns (roaches, loud disturbances), and aging facilities. While staff are generally considered friendly and helpful, the property's overall condition warrants attention.
?????????? We had a great stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Macon. The property is very nice, clean, and well maintained. The price was outstanding for the quality of the stay, which made it an excellent value. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated that the hotel is pet friendly, which makes traveling so much easier. The staff was welcoming and the overall experience was very pleasant. The breakfast could use a little improvement, but everything else about the stay was excellent. We would definitely stay here again anytime we’re in the Macon area and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through.
Had a great time stayed for three days. our room was clean only issue we had was I couldn’t figure out how to connect my Netflix account to the TV, But that wasn’t the end of the world. We just watched some regular movies on cable breakfast was OK. The blueberry muffins are amazing. Love, The fact that we were able to pay the deposit in cash and got it at the end of our stay right back didn’t have to wait 5 to 6 days for it to go back onto our card. Yay! I would definitely recommend and I will be back. Thanks, La Quinta.
The staff was great, very friendly I had a little trouble understanding a couple of the guys, but they were super nice. Breakfast was great probably ate one too many pancakes ? The room was great. I walked across the street and spent some time over there, looking at the new cars at the Kia dealership.
First above anything breakfast was fantastic. They had my favorite oatmeal.? The front desk guys are great, but don’t ask them What is there to do around the area? They really don’t know. Housekeeping was super friendly. I never did understand a single word they said, but they always had my fresh towels for me. Rooms were nice and the guest laundry was perfect while we were there. We travel late and have to wash our clothes every few days when we travel so we really enjoyed the clean guest laundry they had.
We canceled our reservation at another hotel And we’re able to get a great deal at La Quinta last minute staff was great very friendly. Housekeepers came around in the afternoon with fresh towels for us. We didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel because we love our Chick-fil-A in the mornings. I would recommend this hotel again. Staff was fantastic to us and it was quiet.
We had to leave this hotel in a rush due to an extreme cockroach infestation. Roaches were everywhere, including swarming out while my daughter was showering. This was unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. When I went down to the front desk, and waited to be seen to ask for a refund so we could leave, there was a few in the hotel lobby! Because we were forced to leave so quickly, several personal items were accidentally left behind, including brand new gold hoop earrings. When we contacted the hotel, we were told nothing was found, which is very hard to believe given the situation. To make matters worse, “ guests” ( clearly homeless people ) were openly smoking weed in the lobby, and the entire property was dirty, run down, and poorly maintained. While a refund was issued, it does not make up for the stress, lost belongings, and the terrible start to our vacation. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families.
I am very impressed with this place. The room was very clean and cool and did not stink. The staff at the front desk was a cool. The whole motel seemed very clean. I can not find anything bad at all about this place. The little fridge get you drinks ice cold. There is also a microwave. The air conditioner was very clean and works very well. There is also a kroger and chick-fill-A nextdoor. You can easily walk there. And there is a Hot breakfast at the motel is very good. I love the place. Very clean place. Clean room and clean bed.
Staff was always available at the front desk. They were efficient and to the point, but not overly friendly. The room and hotel were generally clean, however in bad need of maintenence in most areas. We stayed in king suite. 1 bedroom with a king, separate living room with sleeper sofa, sitting area, desk, wet bar, and kitchenette. The bed was comfy and clean. Both televisions worked well with plenty of channels. The fridge and microwave worked well but the microwave was old and needs replaced. The plumbing all worked well with plenty of hot water. Walls, carpet, ceiling, doors all show serious signs of age and need extreme maintenance. There were no foul odors present or smell of smoke/animals in our room or area. We did not see any bugs anywhere. Breakfast was sufficient with decent selection: waffles, toast, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, tea, egg whites, sausage, and plenty of condiments. Nice big, comfortable seating area to eat. Overall we would stay here again, as the room was comfortable, clean, and an excellent value. 82 dollars on a Thursday night pls tax and fees = 106
Terrible Experience – Unsafe and Unsanitary Stay I travel often and have stayed at many La Quintas across the country. I’ve always had great experiences and never any issues — until this one. This property was disgusting, run down, and felt completely unsafe. When I arrived around 1:30 AM, there were people loudly partying in the pool area even though it was supposed to be closed. As I walked to my room, a couple came in from the pool and began yelling at each other in the hallway before entering the room directly across from mine. Their argument went on loudly for quite some time. My room (130) was on the first floor near the front desk — there’s no way staff didn’t hear the commotion. It felt like no one cared. Once inside my room, things got worse. The toilet wasn’t bolted to the floor and wobbled when used. The bed smelled strongly of urine. I tried to sleep but woke up an hour later to my dog barking in distress to a very loud noise outside my door. At that point, my gut told me to leave and I did. I paid full price for a room that smelled like urine and only stayed for an hour. I want a refund. If you value safety, cleanliness, or rest, DO NOT stay here.
Honestly… The room was nice, but there were a few stains on the bedsheets and the towels! My only real complaint is, I asked him for soap and shampoo to take a shower, and he only gave me enough for me and my brother as we were the only two staying in the hotel. The issue arose because I have really thick hair that is very curly and needs to be maintained and kept relatively short for it to look good And as a result of this, it gets very greasy very quickly, causing me to have to take showers pretty frequently and he told me that I could only have one body soap and shampoo per day. I assume it’s to regulate the amount of soap and shampoo coming out of the hotel because they don’t want people to just stock pile on shampoos And things like that and I understand that, but it would be nice to be a bit more accommodating than what they were. They were also people yelling in some of the rooms, but that’s not the fault of service! Room service was incredibly nice and understanding, and they even washed our towels and brought them back wrapped up in a nice plastic bag and folded neatly. All in all the places, a hotel, and you get what you pay for! But it still would’ve been nice to have that extra shampoo.
