Do NOT be fooled by the pictures on Booking.com! Do not book this hotel. The management and owner of this property should be ashamed. This property should be condemned. Immediately upon walking down the hallway the first thing you’ll notice are the carpets completely soiled in filth. There are thick black stains all the way down the hall. They don’t look like they’ve ever been cleaned. Then you’ll notice the glass doors to the outside are just as filthy. They don’t look like they’ve ever been wiped down. Maybe it’s exhaustion clouding your better judgement, or maybe it’s sheer curiosity, either way you’ll keep walking. Next, you’ll arrive at the elevator with your heavy travel bags in hand, the moment the doors open you’ll seriously consider walking up several flights of stairs just to avoid the elevator because it look like it hasn’t been serviced in decades. But you’ll remain optimistic and take the elevator. As soon as the doors open to your floor the smell will hit you. The smell is a lovely mix of urine soaked carpets, marijuana, and something else I can’t quite put my finger on. At this point the little voice in your head will be telling you to turn around and get out of there, but you’ll ignore it. You’ll start walking toward your room attempting not to breathe too deeply. As you make your way toward your room you’ll notice that all of the doors through the hall are covered in filth, some even look as if they’ve been beat on as they are covered in dents. Finally, you’ll arrive to your room. The sheets and blanket are dingy and the sheet has holes. You’re tired but won’t want to even lay on the bed. The air filters are covered in thick layers of dust, walls are covered in stains, and then it’s at this point you’ll finally realize..it’s just not worth it. Unless you feel like you need to have this experience yourself, save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.
This La Quinta is definitely just a stopping point on your road trip. It is not anything special or amazing. It is memorable for how bad it is. Breakfast was cereal amd oatmeal. The juice was watered down and coffee was too. The rooms were OK, ut definitely in need of an update. Spend the extra money or drive a bit longer for a better stay.
Rooms look like they need to be desperately updated, ugly old carpeting and dated brass tone light fixtures. Some outlets weren't working and had to move the nightstand to charge my phone. Mattresses were cheap and you could feel the springs in them. The hallway to our room reeked of weed. The room itself had an odd odor of old food. If we hadn't been driving all day and were staying for more then the night we would have not stayed and found other hotel.
Our first room had roaches, so we called the front desk and told them. They then gave us the key to another room that smelled like dirty laundry. The third room was finally fine, but the air conditioner was extremely loud and every hallway outside the room smelled bad in a different way. I'm sure they were an employee, but someone followed us around at a distance the entire time we were moving between rooms, which was unsettling. Considering our experience, I wouldn't trust most of the rooms without thorough examination.
Everything about this Hotel is great. The best staff, maintenance, everyone is amazing. BUT!! Make sure no Church is renting the room next to the breakfast…. Make sure there isn’t a “Group” of people staying at the hotel… they took over the hotel for 3 days of my 7 days I was there with my kids… smoking weed as if it was bubble gum, being loud as they always are… talking across the lobby as if they are in their own home, all patio furniture taken for their own use… not etiquette… no respect for others… it’s their world in their mind. If they are paying for services they feel entitled to do anything. Incredible, it only gets worse and later we are the bad ones for saying something.
?????????? We had a great stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Macon. The property is very nice, clean, and well maintained. The price was outstanding for the quality of the stay, which made it an excellent value. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated that the hotel is pet friendly, which makes traveling so much easier. The staff was welcoming and the overall experience was very pleasant. The breakfast could use a little improvement, but everything else about the stay was excellent. We would definitely stay here again anytime we’re in the Macon area and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through.
Had a great time stayed for three days. our room was clean only issue we had was I couldn’t figure out how to connect my Netflix account to the TV, But that wasn’t the end of the world. We just watched some regular movies on cable breakfast was OK. The blueberry muffins are amazing. Love, The fact that we were able to pay the deposit in cash and got it at the end of our stay right back didn’t have to wait 5 to 6 days for it to go back onto our card. Yay! I would definitely recommend and I will be back. Thanks, La Quinta.
The staff was great, very friendly I had a little trouble understanding a couple of the guys, but they were super nice. Breakfast was great probably ate one too many pancakes ? The room was great. I walked across the street and spent some time over there, looking at the new cars at the Kia dealership.
First above anything breakfast was fantastic. They had my favorite oatmeal.? The front desk guys are great, but don’t ask them What is there to do around the area? They really don’t know. Housekeeping was super friendly. I never did understand a single word they said, but they always had my fresh towels for me. Rooms were nice and the guest laundry was perfect while we were there. We travel late and have to wash our clothes every few days when we travel so we really enjoyed the clean guest laundry they had.
We canceled our reservation at another hotel And we’re able to get a great deal at La Quinta last minute staff was great very friendly. Housekeepers came around in the afternoon with fresh towels for us. We didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel because we love our Chick-fil-A in the mornings. I would recommend this hotel again. Staff was fantastic to us and it was quiet.
