Recent reviews for the Red Roof Inn & Suites Macon present a mixed experience. While some guests praise the friendly staff, cleanliness, and value, particularly regarding business travelers and budget travelers, a significant number report issues with bed bugs, unclean rooms, and concerning odors. The property's location offers convenience but is adjacent to a gas station.
Rented for 8 days. Paid $800 first night wake up with bedbugs. I physically show the clerk in the lobby the bedbug he says “oh this one is a male” ask for a refund he says manager has to approve it. Next morning assistant manager says owner has to approve refund. Owner never showed up checked out early (of course) never given a refund. See pictures of said bedbugs
I stayed one night. I couldn’t find anything to complain about. The room was very clean and the bed slept well. The service was excellent. My boyfriend really enjoyed the breakfast.
I don't know what that last guy was talking about when he said that most disgusting place because I found it to be a very nice hotel of course I've always looking at the people I had reservations at the Hilton. I stopped and got gas and it looked like an old radison to me. I don't know why, but I decided to check it out. And the young lady that runs the desk. I think during the day was gracious enough to allow me to look at a room. And I said, I'll take it. Immediately, and the rest of this staff wasn't any different. They were all awesome. I like to clean my own road. They kind of left me alone. But they gave me towels what I needed them. They gave me betting when I needed it. And I was planning on staying one night, and I ended up staying a couple weeks. I really enjoyed my stay. If you are budgeter or budgeting, it's the nicest hotel in that in that price range, you know, unless you jump up to a hundred twenty dollars a night, which i'm not saying they don't have maybe they do during you know, concerts or whatnot. But I found it to be very reasonably priced. And it again, I enjoyed my stay.A great deal.Thank you to all the staff.I'm planning on returning here in about a week. That's how much I liked it
Little bit awkward getting to the hotel with it being behind a gas station. Rooms seem to have been painted recently. No odors in rooms, common area, or hallways. Also, not overly perfumed as is the case in some hotels. Night clerk was very friendly and seems proud of the work he does and the local area. Breakfast was minimal. Cereal, toast, biscuits and gravy and waffle irons. No fruit or pastry. Would stay here again if I were in the area and needed a place to stay.
This was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever walked into, and my family turned right around and walked out. We were put on the 3rd floor and weren't expecting some fancy and we tried to be open minded about the the musty smell and thought perhaps it's just because hotel is old. Walked in and the sheet was **covered**in fecal and urine stains , filthy mattress and microwave. I politely told receptionist there was no way my family could stay here and she told me it was non refundable, even after only being there 5 minutes. Red roof website said room would be 58 and I was charged 82..just wanted something economical on our long drive to FL, but these reviews have to be fake because this place was beyond filthy. Sketchy area too, I was hesitant to leave vehicle in parking lot.hope this helps someone else avoid this place, so gross.
Wonderful experience will stay again for sure. Beds were comfy wide variety of channels to choose from, elevator was on time evrytime, employees were awesome. I have not one complaint..
My husband has been staying here Monday through Friday for work for almost month and they have been amazing. They make you feel super welcome and are always helpful. I would recommend to everyone.
Von was SO nice! He made sure breakfast was hot and ready, kept cleaning all morning. He was socialable. Smooth check in and check out. Very clean hotel. Breakfast was good for a hotel, gravy was a little watery. Not a lot of options
We traveled across the country with a dog. This is, by far, the best red roof hotel we've been to! Clean and cozy! - with a gas station next door! Highly recommend!
This hotel is getting an update, all of the staff were very friendly, nice, and accommodating, the location is great it's right off the interstate, with plenty of shopping nearby, even the people at the local Walmart were nice, the cashiers and the local residents of the community. There is a gas station you can just walk to right through the parking lot which is very convenient. It seems like the people that own this hotel actually care about it and are trying to maintain and keep it well. I've stayed here for 3 weeks for a business trip and it was a very pleasant experience
