It’s an alright hotel. It’s older but not in terrible shape. It’s better than a 2 star but there is nicer 3 stars at the same prices. Hotel restaurant. No free breakfast / lobby coffee.

The location is good and the downstairs area is updated well. However, the room and elevator are ancient. The TVs don't have normal apps you see at most places. The stay was alright, but I'll probably look for another when I'm in the area again.

Woke up and found a bed bug on my pillow (based on a quick Google, it had recently fed - yeah). I panicked then bagged the thing and then panicked some more, then googled some more then took the bag to the front desk. They took the bug in the bag and came back and said "we can't take anything off your room." I had not asked for anything off, I wanted trash bags (to bag all of my things for the trip home where I now get to wash everything). There did not seem to be any surprise, no apology, and really no help (other than a few trash bags). Anyway, this hotel is off my list in Macon.

Some parts of the hotel were a little dirty, but overall it was fine. I'm giving it 3 stars just because I've never had a hotel decline to give me free water bottles, and also be out of toothbrushes. To me, those are just basics of being at a hotel. I was also told that they didn't have any of those water bottle refilling stations, and just a little water tank by the entrance. The location is fairly sad, if you like being away from everything, you'll enjoy it here, but otherwise it's pretty isolated. There's also not many street lamps outside so it's very dark on the roads nearby.

Stopped here overnight for some rest after a long roadtrip. Next time my husband and I will pick another hotel - between the musty smell in our room, the terrible food they serve out of their “bistro” (seriously, I can’t believe the money they charge for this frozen grocery store food), the paper thin walls so that I could hear EXACTLY what the man in the room next to me was shouting into his phone at 1am, and the smell of cigarettes that smacks you in the face as soon as you walk out of building - it was just not a pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable enough at the start of the night, but both my husband and I woke up with aching backs. The courtyard could also be maintained much better than it is.

My stay at the Courtyard Marriott was fantastic overall! The best part of my visit was the outstanding service provided by the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience . The hotel's location is also a major plus. It was perfectly situated for everything we needed to do, making navigation simple and convenient. It is a pinch older, but well kept. The only minor downside was that they no longer offer free coffee in the lobby in the morning; which they do at Fairfield, Townplace, and other Marriotts. Now, you now have to purchase it from the 'restaurant'. While this isn't a dealbreaker, that complimentary cup of morning coffee was a nice touch that is now missed. Despite the coffee thing, I highly recommend this hotel due to its excellent staff and prime location. I would definitely stay here again!

? I recently had a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Macon, Georgia! From the moment I checked in until the time I left, my experience was nothing short of excellent. Miss Anastasia at the front counter was incredibly professional, warm, and friendly, making me feel right at home. ?? The hotel felt safe, and my room was not only clean but also extremely spacious! I have no complaints about the staff. They were all great. I was a bit disappointed in the overall structure of this hotel. You know, when you go to a Courtyard, you expect a certain level of excellence in the appearance. This hotel, unfortunately, has become tired in its appearance. The elevator button was coming loose from the wall. It looked like a earthquake hit and they tried to spackle the button back into the wall, but it was still loose. Same with a lot of the plug ins: loose from the wall (is that not a safety hazard?). The floor buttons inside the elevator were broken so badly, it was hard to tell what button went to which floor. Overall, it just looked like there was no ongoing maintenance. Food was bad because it is packaged and thrown into the microwave. From now on, I will start asking if the food is prepared there or not. If not, I won't order food. I think it was clean, for the most part. The firepit and outdoor furniture out back were a nice touch. So, not all bad but enough bad to keep me from staying there again.

Upon arrival we were assigned the first room by the entrance door. It was late and we didn’t think anything of it, but you constantly heard the door open and slam closed throughout the night and into the morning. I understand this is just bad placement and there’s not much they can do but this was one part of our experience. The room felt dirty. The bathroom vent was filthy, covered in black dust. The carpet felt dirty and sticky. There was a liquid stain on the wall followed by a carpet stain underneath of an orange/brown substance. The drawers were damaged and broken, not able to be closed. The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. This is not Marriott standards at all, I might as well have stayed in a motel.

I reached out to the hotel about my experience nearly a month ago but have still not heard back. The front desk staff checked someone into my room without an ID (they had a similar but different name). When I arrived to check in, they acted like it was my fault and told me it was “too difficult” to fix in their system by simply swapping our rooms (both me and the other person thought the situation was completely bizarre). So, in the end they made me cancel my existing points reservation at the previous rate and book a new points reservation at the current rate of nearly 50% more points than my original reservation. No offer to fix or make up for the issue, and after reaching out to hotel management multiple times about my experience, I still have not received a response.
