This property receives polarized feedback, described either as a clean and welcoming 'home away from home' or a rundown facility associated with homeless encampments and poor management.
Me and my wife got checked in and moved our belongings into our room. We soon found out that the toilet didn't stop running even after shutting off the water and we found dead bugs in the sheets. We turned the shower on to see if there was hot water and there was none. I went to the front desk to see if we could get another room or get a refund so we could leave. They said they had no more rooms and didnt even say if we would get a refund. We left to find another hotel at midnight. Tried getting ahold of the manager for 2 days. Finally got ahold on the manager just to hear that we would only get %50 refund because a towel was used and we used some water. This was a poor experience.
More like a trap house than a hotel!!!!! People shooting needles in their arms right in the parking lot!!!!! Prostitution in the parking lot!!!!! Smoke detector beeping due to a dead battery!!! Weak AC system!!! NO HOT WATER!!!! I will be reaching out to Wyndham Corporate about this place!
Stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Macon West. The front desk was noisy due to renovations. Staff were friendly, but there were many homeless people on site. Our room smelled like smoke, the fridge leaked, bathroom door was broken, and showerhead was loose. We also found bed bugs. Not a clean or comfortable place. Would not stay again.
Clean very nice quiet nice room the work are very nice the manger his very very sweet I wood stay again am her for a while my house cought on the manger made me and my husband feel like we was at home am enjoying my stay the room are very nice and very very clean the young lady at the front desk she is so sweet to me this morning ???
The Management and staff are the best. Very clean and spacious rooms. 24 hour guest service. It’s like home away from home.
Stopped here for a night hoping to get some restful sleep after enduring the effects of hurricane in Savannah. As mentioned in the other reviews, this place is not so much of a hotel but rather, a homeless encampment. The first tell tale sign was the overwhelming odor of urine in the hotel lobby. Outside, there were adults, children, babies, out in parking lot all night long. People’s belongings strewn about. Cars parked, blasting music. Dogs barking, etc. With the exception of the sheets/linens, it seemed as if the room hadn’t even been cleaned. So much dirt on the floor, stray hairs around the sink, and bugs both dead and alive. Towels in the mini fridge, broken alarm clock. Upon checkout, the lady at the front desk remarked that she was “surprised to see us leaving after a night because usually people stay here for a while”. I definitely don’t feel like $90 a night for this place was fair.
Stopped here for the night on the road from MO to FL. We typically stay elsewhere in Macon but wanted to save some money. This was not horrible, but not worth the money saved. The room was decently clean, but in a general state of disrepair. Rusty fridge, uneven floor, busted vanity, dripping, mildewy tub. All things I could mostly overlook since it was just a quick overnight stay along our drive. The major cons were the fact that it was clear that many, many people lived there. Not staying - living, like an apartment complex…and not a well kept one, either. Cigar wrappers lodged between the columns and the rain pipes, shoes littered outside doors, people outside on porches with children playing outside late into the night/early in the morning, large, menacing looking dogs wandering loose (with collars, clearly not strays). Not that we had intended on using it, but the pool was drained for whatever reason. The AC was not turned on when we arrived either, which was a bummer since A) it was 90+ degrees outside and B) we’d had this reservation for weeks, so it’s not like they didn’t know we were coming. Overall, wouldn’t stay here again unless I was with adults only (no kids) and seriously needed to save the money.
This place is awesome! I was the weary traveler. Aka , just needed a place to shower and sleep. The price was awesome, the front desk was awesome. Aka, enjoy your rest...! When I got to the room it was clean! There was a night light built into the hairdryer! The only bit of advice I could possibly put out there is, don't close the pool so early. This is Georgia, closing the pool at Halloween would be just fine! Highly recommend this Travelodge!
